Bloody Lovely Audrey

More from Newton's Nation! I took these photos of Bloody Lovely Audrey on Friday afternoon, they're a band from Bathurst who are making quite a name from themselves (they've won a few Triple j Unearthed comps and stuff) and I know a couple of the band members. They put on quite the show!

The Money Smokers

I was at Newton's Nation on the weekend and had the pleasure of photographing loads of bands and action sports people! I took over 2500 photos... :s so I'll be showing you guys these for a while yet!
I thought I'd start off with the first band I saw play! I'd never heard of them before but I loove them now, I highly recommend that you give them a listen! They're called The Money Smokers.

They're kind of like a bluesy... sexy rock n roll band, you can download some of their songs free here at Triple J Unearthed, I would definitely recommend Heart of Stone (can you dig it?) - love it!

They had me at their bio on Triple J Unearthed -

"The Money Smokers are a cosmically privileged, soulfully smoothened, and devilishly dastardly band of young men and they have been brought to you to wash away your growing fear that they just don’t make em like they used to."

Love it. I know that's one of my fears!

Keep your eyes peeled for more from Newton's Nation!

Hi all!

I took these photos of Natalie yesterday when I was in Bathurst. They're for the Page 3 Girl section in the paper I work at (don't worry, it's not like the original page 3 girl!)

In other news, I'm off to Bathurst again tomorrow to photograph Newton's Nation, this mad two day festival with skating type sports and bands, including You Am I, Bliss n Eso, British India, etc. They're not necessarily my piece of cake but it's still pretty exciting to have all of them out here! And I have a media pass, wooot.

So you'll see photos from that... Sunday probably!

Because we're goin' to the chapel

Here are the photos from the first wedding I photographed, on the weekend. It was Loren and Daryl's happy day and it was a beautiful one indeed! I was pretty nervous about shooting it, but they wanted more relaxed photos so that worked out :)

[I have to say, I've never been one for black and white photos, but I saw they do work very well with wedding photos!]
